A Letter to Santa...

Jack came home the other day and decided it was time to write Santa a letter. (Yea...it will look good in my scrapbook that I will do someday!)He sat down and about 15 minutes later, he was ready to print....
Dear Santa,
I want a lego set called lake town chase. A game called pickman3. and new monkey PJs. A new marble set. we ALL want a basset hound. A new stuffed animal is good. I also want a imagine X called Fire building I think. I kind of want Xbox 1 for me and my brother. I also Want a Lego thing called Life Of George. I want a nutcracker.
That's all I thought of now.
Love,
Jack Belding
He added a drawing and put the letter into a protective plastic sleeve. An envelope would cause unwanted creases in the letter.

He then read it to anyone who would listen!

We stopped at Memory Bound to make a couple of copies of his letter so we could have a copy to keep (and put in the scrapbook.) The original one was heading to Santa...but how should we send it to the red guy?

Easy! Henry goes to the North Pole every night to report to Santa! Jack set his letter next to Henry and that night, off it went! Henry did leave a letter for Jack reassuring him that Santa received his letter!
Phew!!

Enjoying Their Scrapbooks!!

The other day I came upstairs to find this!

The boys had discovered their scrapbooks and were busy checking them out! You must remember, that the scrapbooks have been in the basement and not in an area that would be "easy" to get them out and look through them. Plus, I labeled them. That might have been the key!

Sam checked out his football book.

Jack checked out his book from kindergarten. And then asked if he could have these great little inserts. REALLY? That's all you got from the book!

It did inspire me to get my act together and put more pictures in their books....someday!

A Soaker...

I plan on sharing pictures of our addition...soon.

Took this one of Jack soaking in my new tub.
I have yet to be in the tub.
Jack says it's fabulous!

Sam also said it's not too bad.

A Busy Little Elf...

Henry has been busy hiding in a new and exciting place every night!

This night, he took a few selfies!

This one blew our mind...a selfie with Moose?!?!?

A selfie with Sam's puppy and teddy!

One with Jack's monkeys!

And not to be left out...a selfie with Mr. Gorilla!

He was also spotted after he jumped into a Christmas present head first.

And spent the day in the freezer.  Just like the North Pole.
Henry has just been so much fun to have at the house. Only 12 more days until Henry heads home. Darn.

Santa Spottings...

'Tis the season for Santa spottings!

Love this blue eyed Santa!

This Santa was interesting...

And this Santa took Jack's breath away!
Jack went to a cookie exchange with my mom. They walked around the corner and there stood this Santa! Jack backed up into my mom and she heard him say under his breath, "whoooaa!"
Believing is priceless!

Rude Awakening...

I was taking a nice afternoon nap.
Suddenly I heard a low "grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr."

I opened up my eyes to this.
How rude, Moose.

Turkey Preparations...

Thought I would share some Thanksgiving prep of the turkey pictures. If you know me, I cannot stand raw meat. I don't know what it is, I just don't like handling, touching, smelling raw meat. This year my mom actually thought I should pull out the "parts" that are packed in the turkey. I about passed out!! Thank goodness, she changed her mind and came over to get out the "parts."

But first, Jason had to pull out some pin feathers...WITH MY GOOD TWEEZERS!! Guess what I want for Christmas!

All the kids lined up to check out what was going to come out of the chicken.  The little red head is my niece, Lily.

Jack, was amazed with the parts and didn't hesitate to touch them. GROSS!!

Checking out the other things that where pulled from the turkey's nether region.

Lily didn't want anything to do with them.

I couldn't believe that Sam held the neck! I think he was trying to be "brave" with Lily right beside him. As you can see, he has about the same feeling about raw meat and really couldn't keep it together.

My sister thought Lily should get a good close up look of the heart!

Here's the Sam we all know and love!

Jack still studying the parts! He REALY liked the heart. Even after grandpa told him it may start beating again in the fridge at night!

Once hearing that the heart may start beating again, Jack decided KEEPING the heart would be a great idea!  At least I convinced him to keep it in a baggie! I noticed someone switched if from the fridge to the freezer..just so it would last longer! Thank you very much.

Oh My, Henry!

Henry received some mixed reactions when he was located this morning!

I will not use names, but one child thought it was the funniest thing he had seen! That child also got up really close to check everything out!

My other child, again I won't use names, was a bit disgusted with Henry.

That son looked at me and asked, "Who's going to clean that up?"

Then on the way to school, that same son said, "Maybe you should clean that up when you get home. Those chocolate chips may melt and make a bigger mess."
I reassure him that things would be okay...for the time being!

Early Bright Lights...

The addition is officially finished, except for a "punch list." A punch list is all the little things that need to be done or touched up or fixed. We have a long punch list.
Anyway, we have moved into our new bedroom and absolutely LOVE it!
Except for one thing...

The sun shines VERY early into our windows...straight out of the East. As soon as that sun starts to peek out, I am wide awake. I would go back to sleep, but my mind has already started thinking about the day.
We are to get our blinds sometime this week or next week...it can't be soon enough!

Henry's Back...

Henry's back. Henry is our Elf on the Shelf that I thought would be a great idea to do with the boys. Well, now he is back for the third year! We had to add an addition on to our house just so this stinking Elf will have somewhere new to go for the next 23 days!

Jack is SO excited that Henry was returning. So much so, that he made and entire set up for him!

Dear Henry,
I gave you a few choices on movies. Remember to put the Class Christmas Favorites back in its case.
Sincerely, Jack
(Henry did enjoy the movie, but gosh darn him, he forgot to put the movie back into its case!)

Dear Henry,
Here's the classic Cat in the Hat book for you to read. Have fun!
Sincerely, Jack
(Henry read part of the book and used the note as his bookmark!)

Dear Henry,
I can't wait to see you in the morning! I missed you, so here is a nice welcoming!
Sincerely, Jack
(It actually was a nice welcoming!)

Dear Henry,
You could hang up and ornament if you'd like.
Signed, Jack
(Done!)

P.S. Henry,
Feel free to look around the addition.
Sincerely, Jack
Respond....
(WOW! Thanks for all this! Henry)

A nice welcoming always includes a pillow for your head, a stocking for your bed, a flashlight to get around in the dark and a creepy monkey with a mask.

Welcome back, Henry!
So good to see you.
