And the final product...an alien for Sam, Sponge Bob for Jack and a Vikings Horn for Jason. (or as Jack said, "Why does dad's have that big smile thing?") Yes, I have a pumpkin, but I chose not to carve mine this year...I am leaving it "ah natural."
Side note: check out that creepy alien reflection on the house, right above the stem of the alien pumkin...what is up with that????

Your pumpkins turned out great, in spite of all the drama! My favorite thing to do with pumpkins is to scoop them out and then use a drill to make holes in them. This is straight from Martha Stewart. Just don't do it inside because little pieces of pumpkin fly everywhere! But the effect is very cool and you don't have to use a knife!
Janet...that sounds great to use the drill, but my question is~if the pumpkin pieces fly all over, there is a chance it could splat on your face and that would put me over the edge. Pumpkin guts seem to stick to everything!!
