Trick or Treat!

The Halloween costumes for this year worked without a hitch! (first time ever!)

Sam was a hippie and totally embraced it!

Sam's joke, which was told in the best hippie voice ever,
"Why didn't the lifeguard save the hippie?"
"He was too far out, man!"
(the moustache looks a little adult filmy, if you know what i mean)

Jack, who hasn' t seen one Pirates of the Caribbean movie, was Jack Sparrow.

Yep, he has eyeliner on and a drawn on mustache and soul patch.  Half way through my artwork I thought it would be best to switch from a Sharpie marker to a crayola marker!
Jack's joke:
"What is a pirates favorite color?"
"ARRRRRnage!"
Also told in a great pirate voice for effect!

Our last trick or treat stop was at my parents. We sent Sam to the door by himself while the rest of us hid behind a tree. My mom answered and did not recognize Sam at all...she told us she wondered why this hippie was all by himself and as soon as the hippie gets off her porch, she was shutting off the light. That was about the time Sam took of his mustache and she shrieked, "SAM!!!!" it was pretty funny and Sam loved every minute of it! Sign of a successful costume!

The boys trick-or-treated with Sam's good friend who was just spooky looking!
He took off his mask about half way through and said, "Now i can go back to all the houses I have been to because I now I look like a hunter!"

Jack was one tired cookie and passed out on the way home...SOUND ASLEEP!

It was a great end to a very busy Halloween weekend!
