Pictures...Check

So, the "easy" part of yesterday's Day in the Life  is completed. All I needed to do was to take pictures of the day, all day. Unfortunately though, I forgot to take some photos, so I may take a few "fillers" today.

For pictures, I used my camera on my phone and my DSLR camera, too. I am going to share the first half of the day today and tomorrow I will share the second half of the day. Not the done project (silly people), only the pictures!  I have more photos on my DSLR camera, but right now I am way too lazy to go get it on the kitchen counter!!

Enjoy!

First thing in the morning = coffee.

I head upstairs and get Jack going. He was not a morning person yesterday!!

This is a photo of our schedule for the week. Jack's is on the left in green. Sam's schedule is on the right in blue.  The red is for Jason and I or special occasions!

Jack heads off to school at 7:35. I don' t have a picture of this from yesterday, so I am going to get one today. It's ok to bend the rules a bit.

Sam gets up around 7:45. I try to make him breakfast, but lately he has been getting his own due to not really knowing what he wants until he opens the cupboard or freezer.

I was getting the boys ready as well as myself. My curling iron broke today. So, no curling the hair, which means putting it up. It's sooo short right now I need some bobby pins to help aid my  up-do.

Had to go find bobby pins laying around the house. Why do I lose all my bobby pins??? (Nasty counter tops!! Ew.)

Off to take Sam to school. This is the drop off line. Objects in front of me are closer then they appear!! I am not behind due to taking pictures!!

Have a good day, Sam!

Right now I  am enjoy the new Mumford and Sons CD. I take my coffee with me where ever I go in the morning.
Darn it's almost gone.

Jack drew this little picture of himself on a lid that was in the car. He told me to look at it and think of him if I get lonely. Ahhhhh.

A picture of my flowers. The daisies are out of control!! You can't even see the geraniums that are in the garden! I will be pulling daisies (which I love) soon so other things can grown!!

Breakfast - Dannon yogurt!  EVERY morning, I rip off the lid and the side stays on...it drives me crazy!!!

I get a text at 8:55 from Sam. He forgot his chrome book (his school computer) and could I drop it off for him. I have a picture of the text, but it has the phone number on it and I need to edit it off. I will include the picture in my book though.

I am off at 9:00 am to work because I have a class to teach today. Jason is working from home and was on a call when I left. Oh yes, must make a stop at school to drop off a Chrome book to a certain middle school boy.

I forgot to take a picture of my class. Shucks!! From 9:15-9:45am I set up for my class. I then chatted with the wonderful ladies that were taking the class. One gal created her own binder that kept track of all her scrapbooking things and was sharing it with us. What a great idea!! I really enjoyed looking through it and it inspired me to create (someday) something similar.

The gal also shared with us how she stores her magnetic dies. She uses a small binder and plastic refill pages. She purchases magnetic register covers from Menard's and cuts them to the size of the refill pages! Genius!!!

I then taught class from 10-12:00.

Phew! And it's only lunch time and so much more to get done today!! Stop by tomorrow to see part 2!
(So exciting!!)

I'm Crazy...

This is what my craft room looks like at this moment!
 A TERRIBLE MESS!!

This table contains items to create kits...my folders of notes, trimmer and big shot.
This table is a TERRIBLE mess! I am in the middle of creating Christmas cards for a Christmas in July card class.

So why am I crazy? With all this going on, I decided to participate in Ali Edwards: A Day in the Life today. Basically, you take pictures to document a day in your life from morning to night. You can read more by clicking here.  It use to be a week in the life, but even she has trimmed it down to 24 hours. To be honest, I looked at our schedule for today and it looked like a pretty "regular" day, so I thought...why not? I have tried a thousand times to do this, but I have hope this time!!

This time I am going to use a new Sn@p 4x6 Album.

I like my albums pages to be different sizes, so I am going to use 4x6 page refills and pages from the Sn@p Variety pack, especially the 3x4 and 4x4 pages.

I am also using the Kaisercraft's collection Shine Bright. The grays, blacks and yellow color combinations are my favorite right now.
Shine Bright Paper Pack with Bonus Sticker sheet

There are also 4x6, 4x3 journal cards and a pack of ephemera!

With all this planning already, you would think I would be good to go! Well, like I have said before, time will tell!! Realistically, it's only about 15 hours. So if I take one picture an hour, that's only 15 pictures!! Sounds do-able...right??

Well, tune in tomorrow to see how I am doing!

Instagram...

I am addicted to Instagram.
I love looking at it every day. I follow scrapbookers, crafters, photographers, quoters and planners. Yes, I follow famous people too, but honestly, I don't find them very exciting.
 I know, I am weird.

Here are a few of my screen shots in the last couple of months. I take the shots because at that time, the quote spoke to me in some manner, which I will explain if needed.

Usually I would edit the pictures to show the post only, but today...you get the entire screen shot.

I came across this quote the afternoon that my parents found out a close friend of theirs had passed away.

I have this weird thing I do...smell books. I have done it all my life. If a book is stinky, I won't buy it or read it.
My dad thinks it is weird.

I read this the week I decided I needed to begin to exercise.

One day, I told people at work that I do my best thinking in the shower.  Guess I'm not the only one!

 I love this one...

 This one makes me giggle!

Sometimes the courage and journey just to cross the starting line can be the hardest part.

 True.

I have days that I wish this were true...

I showed this to Jason and he laughed. It is SO true of me! I will never get up early to do anything, let alone run! HA!

This has happened to me and now I am purging...again.

At times I need to remind myself of this and it usually true!

I saw one that I didn't' screen shot about how you should give a person a high five every morning, because getting out of bed may be the "biggest" thing they do that day.  Everyone has a day, or tow like that!

Happy Instagramming and screen shooting!!

Tarzan...

Every one in awhile, a vine shows up in our trees. I don't know why or what kind it is...it's probably poison ivy, with our luck. But, this vine dropped lower and lower and finally, Jack just had to swing from it!

The first swing was a little low.
He almost scraped the skin off his knees!
After a little advice to grab the vine higher, he was good to go.
Though each time he swung, I prayed the vine wouldn't break and he ended up splatted on the cement!

Success...meaning he didn't end up splattered all over the driveway! Oh, and that he swung like Tarzan.

Baseball Season

Baseball season is in full swing (hahaha) for Jack. We have had several games already and the biggest challenge has been the weather!

It has been plain cold out. I wear several layers to the games: my winter coat, boots, stocking cap and mittens. I take my chair (the bleachers are terrible for my back) and wrap up into two blankets. That has been my attire for the last two games!!
I have only taken a few pictures of Jack playing...it's just way too cold to take off my mittens!  The few that I have taken, have all been taken with my phone.

Here is a picture of Jack being "captain" for the day. That entails him going up to home-plate before the game and telling players from the other team, good luck. The umpire also lets them know a few other things, but I forgot to ask Jack what was the entire conversation.

Now, last night we had a game and the weather was perfect!

Jack has been working hard with his hitting. Unfortunately, it doesn't come easy for him. He did get on base last night due to the fact that he got hit by the pitch. What ever it takes, I guess. He eventually worked his way to third base!! Yea!!

Waiting for someone to get a hit can take awhile...

But, the waiting paid off and he finally got to run and score a point! Proud mom moment!
Way to sacrifice a "hit" for a "hit,"Jack!!
He got up to bat a second time and again, hit by the ball. I didn't know I was going to have to worry about his well being in baseball!!! UGH!!!

My Swing...

Two years ago, for our anniversary, Jason bought me a swing to hang from one of our many trees! Well, you wouldn't think it, but we really don't have any trees that have low enough branches to hang anything from. So after "looking up" in the trees for that "just right" branch, we found one...right in the front yard!

We hung the swing on Sunday and both boys, especially Jack, can be found swinging in the front yard!!

The front of the swing has the sweetest message!!

 I absolutely LOVE my swing!!

It's the first thing I see when I come down our driveway.
It's just one of those little things that make you happy!
