Biggest Leaf Pile..EVER!

Last week I shared how our trees dropped all their leaves onto our driveway.  Well, on Saturday, Jason blew all the leaves to one area of the yard...much safer for jumping!

The leaf pile was quite large...as tall as jack!  This picture cracks me up - look how they both stand the same way!

Let the jumping begin!  After the boys jumped in...Jason went to find them!

This was all that he could see of Sam...

...and this was what was left of Jack!

Sam demonstrated his splashy cannonball leaf jump!

Sam decided to jump head first into the leaf pile...

and all that was left was his little foot in the air!!

Scrappy Sunday...

I am taking an online Copic marker class and thought I would share my accomplishments so far.

The first assignment was to remove the inside papers of a composition notebook.  Next, I sewed in the copic papers we will be using during class.  It was very easy to sew in the papers...punched a few holes and used twine to secure the pages.

Here you can see the two rows of twine from sewing in the pages.

We sewed in a lot of pages. Actually we folded five pages in half and sewed along the fold.  We had two sets of pages to sew into the covers.

Here you can see where I sewed along the fold.

I used the Basic grey Out of Print collection for my covers.  The tree paper is from Little Yellow Bicycles fall collection.

Our first coloring assignment was to choose a quote to "color." this is one of my favorite quotes...next to a stamp I recently purchased "I have no idea what I am doing out of bed."  (as you all know..I value my sleep!) I tried to use a letter bubbling technique on the word "you" and as you can see, it really didn't work for me, so I just free handed the rest of the words...much easier!

Everything on this page was done with a few copic markers.  The black is a copic multi-liner pen.  It is my favorite pen for doodling and journaling!   My next assignment is to doodle on a page and then color it with copics...guess I need to go get on the phone and call someone so the doodling can begin!

A "Fall" Day...

The leaves at our house are falling fast...

but only in one area...the driveway!!

The boys couldn't wait to make their first leaf pile of the season...right in the middle of the cement driveway. "Would you feel more comfortable is we put my football helmet on, Mom?" That was so sweet of Sam to ask...unfortunate, the helmet was in Jason's car...

Jack kept sneaking in jumps before the pile was officially" Sam" ready!

Sam got a few sneaky jumps in also!

Can't you just hear Sam yell, "JAAAACk!"

It was only time before a leaf fight broke out...

Jack held his own!

Poor Moosie May, she watched all the festivities from the garage. She is still healing... and being a good girl by laying around. You can just tell that she would love to get out and join the fun!

It's Good To Be Outside...

With this good weather, I just couldn't keep Moose in any longer. She is to go outside, use the restroom and right back in..Doctors orders...and I get that and have followed them very strictly! Well, the other day, i was outside with the boys and I figured since I was out with her, she could at least get some fresh air...Boy was she happy!!!

And then she fell asleep in the sun...with a smile on her face!

ISU Game...

We headed up to Ames for the ISU vs. Texas game on Saturday. Before going, we needed to stop at Scheel's for some new ISU gear.

Little Mr. Viking wanted his picture in front of Cy...

As did Sammy...

On the way up, Jack took his usual nap in the car.

Sam was pretty wiped out himself. On Friday night, jas had taken the boys to the Ankeny game at Drake stadium.

We finally got parked and Sam asked, "Is this tailgating?"

Before heading into the game, we had to get some stadium dogs...a favorite of the Beldings!

In all our cyclone gear. My new hat...the yellow on my hat was very bright, but nothing that a little Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink couldn't help!!

Loved the new jumbo tron!!!

We were about 7 minuted into the game and Jack had already spilled his pop and a brand new box of skittles...

It was a rough game, but at half time most people around us left. The boys discovered that their friends were sitting two rows in front of us. With all the extra seating, all the boys got to sit together and had a great time..watching the band and dancing!!

Scappy Sunday...

OK - my mom just called and said, "I have been checking your blog for your scrappy post..." I quickly, and kindly, reminded her that I still had 3 hours until Scrappy Sunday was over...so, here it is...

The picture is not good (taken in a bit of a rush) but it is a 12x12 layout of Jack playing father son football with Jason. These are my three favorite photos of the season. The first one if Jack practicing throwing the ball..is it obvious that baseball just ended? The middle picture is so like father, like son. The last shot is when Jack scored a touchdown and holding up his rock and roll hand!

I used the Bella Blvd. Sports Collection (all items available at Memory Bound!)

So I made my first Scrappy Sunday post, just by the hair of my chin!!

Jack Can Touch...

I was taking Jack's school-work out of his take-home folder and came across this sheet. At school they have been "studying" the five senses. On this sheet, he needed to write and draw 4 different things he could touch. This was the first one...

"I can touch my dog," is what I read, but looked at the picture and thought, "What in the world?" OH!! then it dawned on me...this is a picture of Moose with her cone on, her pink cast and the orange represents her shaved leg!! I laughed out loud! When I showed Jason later that night, we both laughed until we were crying! Jack definitely lives in the moment!!

Here is his model for his picture...coneless.

When we showed Moose, she laughed just as hard (with her spooky zombie eyes!)

Side Note:
Starting this weekend, Saturday or Sunday, or maybe both, I am going to post projects or layouts that I have completed or am working on...I need to get going on things and if I know I need to post a project or layout, then I think it will motivate me to get some things done!  Check in this weekend to see if I have any success!!
