What I am Reading...

I am just finishing up this book and I am LOVING IT!! It is about a nun who has twins, obviously very unexpectedly, and the lives the twins lead after a tragic turn of events. It isn't action packed, but it is just a really good story. When I first started reading it, I thought it was going to be hard to follow and deep...but it isn't. It was one, for me, that I looked forward to reading each night. It is just a great read and would highly recommend it.

Sam's Turn at QB...

Lots of mom bragging in this post!!!

Last Sunday was Sam's turn to be the QB and he did awesome! It was so fun to watch. He had a great time and was SO calm... So, of course, I just had to take a TON of pictures (117 to be exact) and wanted to share a few...:)

At this point, one of the coaches yells, "Turn it on Wheels!"
(Wheels is Sam's nickname. He has actually become pretty fast on his feet when he needs to be!)

...and in he goes for the extra point!!

(He did that two times!! Proud mom moment.)

This is Jack watching Sam's football game. He is under the blanket playing his DS...he did not show his face the entire game!

Congratulations Sam, on leading your team to their first win and a shut out, at that!

Recovering a fumble...

He played QB and defense all game. In the last 2 minutes, he had to take himself out because his legs started to cramp up.

The coaches were so excited about the win. Sam and Jason kept saying the rest of the night, how fun the game was. Then they would remember plays...just what boys do!

Saint Moss is Back...

A late breaking post...

In case you do not know, we are HUGE Vikings fans. My dad was a HUGE fan, so I grew up a Viking. Jason has been a HUGE Viking since he was just a boy, so it runs in the family.

When the NFL season started, Jason came home one evening all excited and beside himself because he had heard that the Vikings were trying to get Randy Moss back...well, we didn't hear anything more, so we assumed it was a rumor...until last night.

When I got home, Jason was just about beside himself, because all over the news that Randy Moss was going to be coming back. He had goose-bumps the size of boils!! Before bed, Sam and Jason got down the Randy Moss statue Sam has on his dresser, and chanted, "Saint Moss, come back, Saint Moss, come back" while they rubbed the statue for good luck (seriously, he made my son do this!) I got to watch Sports Center all night...finally around midnight, he turned the TV off.

Then this morning, Jason received word that it was a done deal and SAINT MOSS is coming back...I think he exact words were, "HE'S COMING BACK AND WE HAVE FAVRE AND THEY WILL WIN THE SUPER BOWL AND MOSS'S DESTINY WILL BE FULFILLED WITH THE VIKINGS!" He said it loud and by the time he go to "super bowl" his voice was 10 octaves higher...he sounded like a girl...but from what I have witnessed, football can do that to boys.

So, we now have Saint Favre, Saint Pederson and the returning Saint Moss...I hope their destiny is fulfilled...for wives of vikings fans everywhere!

We hadn't taken any "jumping" action photos for some time so we did the other day...(Jason actually directed from the side...)

This was the last one...Sam cracked his knee on the couch...game over...for now....

Jack's Halloween Costume...

This is Jack's official Halloween costume this year...Albert Einstein.How did he come up with Einstein, I have no idea. Last I knew he was going to be Luke Skywalker. Thinking back, it may have been when he realized that he would need to go to a Halloween "area" to get a Luke Skywalker costume...Jack will not do Halloween shops or areas this year...so the clothing stores seem pretty safe.

We found the wig and mustache last Friday...today we went out and JACK picked out the rest of the outfit...white shirt with clip on tie, black pin-striped pants and pull on "fancy black" shoes. He was and is SO proud of himself for picking out hie "costume."

The House is Painted...
