A Day at the Park...

We headed to Big Creek the other afternoon to hang out at the park. Here are some of my favorite shots from the day...

I love this one of the boys...Jason was spinning them on a tire swing...pure enjoyment on their faces.

I love how Jack is looking out...he was checking to see if I was close by and I got this shot of him. Love the light...

I really like this one because Jack was posing and Sam just popped out. Not very often where Sam is "shorter" than Jack!

Heading back to the car...notice how their heads are tilted the same way.
I pointed this out to Jason and he said they were getting ready to go under the tree...umm, Jack wouldn't have to duck his head....
I think it is more like father like son...

FINALLY, The First Day of Preschool!

Jack was up, picked out an outfit and was all ready to go to his first day of preschool bright and early! (Finally!)

He ripped down his apple and stated, "I am so excited!"

We got into the car (40 minutes before preschool was to begin.) He insisted on taking pictures at the top of our lane. Why? I have no idea...he just wanted to, so we did. I think he remembers us taking pictures of Sam getting on the bus.

He soon realized that it was a bit bright in his chosen spot.

So we switched it up a bit and what a cheese ball!
We still had about 30 minutes before preschool, so that gave us plenty of time to stop at Starbucks for a first day of school scone and apple juice.
(and while we were there, I decided to get a frap, too!)

All sorts of welcome signs at the door of preschool. You can tell the nerves are starting to set in a little...

He spotted a friend and was so excited, but became very quiet when we got inside the classroom. He said it was too loud because of all the big people (adults) in the room. Jack is use to his routine when going to ps and that wasn't happening for him today. After a bit, we "big people" headed to a meeting for about an hour while the kids played in the room. Jack later told me, "It was much better after all of "you guys" left for awhile and we had snack." I sure do wish all of life's problems could be solved with a snack!

Creative Escape...

Last week I went to Phoenix for Creative Escape. It was a week of laughing, scrapping, taking classes, drinking margaritas, staying up late and laughing some more. I had SO much fun and haven't laughed like I did for years...it was such a needed escape for me.
One day, the instructors had a trunk show where they all showed different projects they had created~very inspiring! It was also an opportunity to take a photo with the instructor and get an autograph...if you wanted and who wouldn't want to!!

Heidi Swap (click on her name to read her review of creative escape) and me. She had something great and different to say to each individual - what a talent! Her sister's name is Katie, too!

Heidi signing my Creative Escape book...I am so excited!

Me and Teresa Collins...love this girl!

Teresa signing my Creative Escape book...again, I am so excited!!
My FAVORITE girl..Margie Romney. She is so darn cute, down to earth and funny! I stopped her on her way to lunch...I was already eating my HUGE chicken wrap and had some in my teeth. So, when I went up to ask her if I could get a picture, I proceed to try to discreetly pick it out. Well, the girls I was with couldn't let that one go by. But, bless Margie's heart...she said, "Oh, don't you worry, I pick everything!" I love her!

I am cheesing out SO bad that I have entered nasty smile!
I couldn't help but bother her again at the trunk show...she signed my book, "To the darling picker."

I am just so happy here! This girl could make me like pink!
Maggie Holmes is an amazing photographer and now I want to take the boys to the junk yard for a photo shoot with the boys.
Claudine Hellmuth had an amazing painting class...she looks like a barbie doll, but her voice is super low and even deeper when she laughed. She was great and very funny!
This is Tricia L. I can't remember her last name. She was on her way to grab some breakfast and wasn't too happy with me stopping her...
Jessica Sprauge and me. She does all digital scrapbooking and had us do an assignment on Photo Shop. I am actually going to take one of her photo shop on-line classes. She had an amazing message about life, gratitude and enjoyment. She was a fabulous speaker, teacher and so inspirational. I loved her, too!

At closing ceremonies, they announced that they will have another Creative Escape next year. I am already saving my pennies!!!

Slooowly Coming Together...

I can officially say that I am ready for the remodeling to be done. I am tired of the dust, noise and random people walking into my house at random times. But, I know it will be worth it and that is why I am being patient...or trying to be...

This is the picture from last week...

And this is the new picture...all cupboards are in place and the floor is installed, too. Next week, the floors will be sanded, stained and sealed. We will not be able to walk on the floors...we can get upstairs by going through the front door and jumping to the stairs, but we will not be able to get to the basement...for the entire week. The smell may be a bit strong, too. So, I am moving in with my mom...I hope that is ok with her and my dad!

The Count Down has Begun...

Jack cannot wait to go to preschool. He kept asking me how many more day, so we finally took care of that...
We put an apple chain (one chain representing one day) on the back door.
He is so excited and now can count the days until preschool and gets to riiiiip one link off each day! Only six more days until preschool!
