I follow Ali Edwards' blog. At the beginning of each year, she encourages you to choose one word to be your "guide" for the year. So, I have been trying to think of one word...several popped into my mind right away~sleep, nap, cough-medicine ~ but I don't think that was what she was getting at. So, now I am toying with these: enjoy, slow-down (yes, I know it is 2 words), relax... I'll let you know if I ever choose one.
If YOU had to choose a word, what would it be? I would love to see/hear about your ideas. Here is a link to her web site if you want to check out some words.

It's about me, the three boys in my life, a little crafting and the adventures that seem to happen each day...

A Day of Mourning...
If you don't know, the Vikings lost yesterday to the Philly Eagles. So, as I wandered the house..I noticed some season ending pictures. JB's Vikings-t thrown on the floor, (which is a big no, no~especially the lucky t that has been worn EVERY Sunday. Thank goodness I can wash it now!) the "hat" thrown onto the pile of hats, (which is also okay-it was starting to smell) even Steve's bear seems down and out (reminds me that he needs to clean his room) and the rally towel or is it a towel to dry our tears (just another thing I am going to have to find a place for.) So, please say a little pray for us in our loss... (and a quiet hurray that all this can be picked up, washed and put away until next year!)

Skol Vikings!
JB left early this morning to head up (for the third weekend in a row) to Minneapolis to root the Vikings on (hopefully) to another win! If they win, the Vikes will play in Carolina - which, sadly, JB won't be able to go to. Thought I would post few "memories" from last weekends big game!

It is Done and It is Clean and I am Happy!
My desk before the cleaning or should I say in the midst of cleaning!
My desk after the cleaning! I have a work area! I put a lot of things into boxes. Organized boxes! I took the bulletin board down by the clock and added two of my favorite pictures. Below the pictures is a cool holder from IKEA. It holds my tools, adhesive, etc. I can take the tubs/holders off the bar. Very handy! To the left of the white board, I put up a spice rack. The jars on the rack hold buttons, small flowers and other little things.

Be Nice...
I found how to add comments to the blog - finally. I am a bit nervous due to several people asking where they could make a comment...especially my mom-uh oh.
How do you like my new fancy picture to the right? It is really to take place the picture of JB and me, but I couldn't figure it out at 11:00pm last night. I was going through old picutres and found this one..I must have just gotten some highlights and had been tanning!

New Year's Cleaning and Organizing...
OK. I can't BELIEVE that I am posting these pictures, but I think it will be good for me. Yesterday, I decided that I needed to clean out my scrapbooking room ~ the new years spirit grabbed me. Well, when I was WELL into it, I decided to snap a few pictures. EEK!! Seriously, it is never this bad, but I am doing some serious cleaning out, tossing and organizing. So, here are the before pictures...if I ever get done, I will put up some after pictures ~just so you know I don't live in a pit. Oh - notice the big black trash bag...I owe that to my mom! When I was little, she would send me to my room to clean it out (not up) and say, "You can come out when that big black trash bag is full." (Little did she know that I stuffed it with clothes I didn't like and kept my treasures!) Love you, mom!! After looking at these pictures, I think it is time for a nap....

The Little Boy...
Today Roo was on my lap while I was blogging...he looked at the "Memories" post picture and said, "There are 2 girls and 2 boys in this picture." I explained to him how that was his mom..."No, that's a boy." So now I wonder...do I blame my mom for this?
Orange Pylons or Christmas Trees...
Sometimes I just want to go to my "scrapbooking" room and be by myself. But it never fails that the boys end up in there with me, under the table, on my lap, Roo saying "You're not listening to me...you're not listening to me...you're not listening to me.." So, one day I was sharing this with my sister and she said that I should get some of those construction orange pylons to put in the door. Then tell the boys that when the pylons are up, they cannot come in the room. Well, I went shopping the very next day (hate to forget a great idea!) and found some small orange pylons. I shared the big plan with the boys. So, the other day, I needed some "alone" time and thought I would try out the pylons. But, I couldn't find them. They were gone. Imagine that. So I go and find "Steve" to ask him what happened to the pylons. He showed me where they were and went on to explain how they make great Xmas trees for their stuffed animals. So much for that idea...next....

Memories...

My sister got photoshop elements for x-mas and has been playing around with it. She is the brave one ~ she opens up the box and just goes for it!! I, myself, will need to go to the bookstore, buy a book about photoshop and read up until I am even ready to open the box. I don't know ~ it may be just an excuse to go to the bookstore! Anyway, my sister sent this little number to me that she created on photoshop ~ I love it!! Yes, the "little boy" in the picture is me!

the other part of us...
These are the two little ones that I will be talking/posting/blogging about...they keep my life busy and interesting. The older one is 6. I asked him what he would like to be called on my blog..he thinks "Steve" might be a good name. (what??) The little one is three. We call him "Roo" because he is a busy-body. My mom just laughs and says, "Oh, he is a little you!" I always wonder why she has a little smirk on her face when she says that...
