December Daily!

Every year, Alli Edwards makes a December Daily. You can see her album here. (Her album is intense, while creative!)  The concept is to keep track of all the different things you do in the month of December.  This is the fourth year that I will attempt a December Daily.  Last year was the first time I actually completed a Dec. album....and that only happened due to the fact that there were five of us doing it together!!

Once again, I have fallen in the December Daily trap. This year, my inspiration came from the magazine Somerset Holidays and Celebrations. (I have noticed some of the same pictures on Pinterest.)

All I needed for this "album was a 7-Gypsies Tray, paper and embellishments.  I love how the artist decorated the individual cards, but I knew that I wouldn't be able to come up with 25 different and VERY creative cards. I needed something quick and simple.

This collections arrived at the store (Memory Bound) just in the nick of time!  It is the Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas line. First, I love the colors...a must, because i will be looking at it for the next two months!  Second, there are tons of papers in the collection.  There are two (front and back) 12x12 sheets that can be cut into 4x6 squares...that is 24 different cards that can fit right into the library tray!

But this sealed the deal.  I LOVED these sticker  numbers due to the fact that you have THREE different number options! I bought two sheets...I could put one on the front of  a card and then stick the same number on the back of the sticker ...make sense??

So, this is what I came up with...the first piece is actually a card.  I am going to write a letter to the boys explaining this project...

The store (MB) carries theses fabulous Kraft envelopes.  Perfect for keeping little items safe...receipts or movie stubs!!

My goal (i hope) is to take pictures and then put them behind the cards.  I do have more of an open mind about organizing my "album." Just because something happened on day 7, it doesn't have to go behind the seventh card.  It is OK to "fib" a bit on the day what activity took place. (Except if something is dated.)

What will I do with larger items?  At this time, I plan to take a picture of the item, or shrink it down on a copy machine.

This line also comes with a variety of journaling cards, so I will add journaling when needed!

I might fill these out or have the boys write their top 10 wants or copy their list and paperclip them onto the cards.

I think this will be "do-able" for me and I should be able to keep it up!
Let you know how it is going in December!
